Redwood Credit Union is hosting a Shred-a-Thon event on June 22nd, 9am-12pm, to help people dispose of confidential paperwork and personal data. Documents will be securely shredded and recycled, and Conservation Corps North Bay will collect e-waste onsite.
The Redwood Empire Food Bank will be collecting canned food items and monetary donations. We are in need of 10 volunteers to help us set up our table, collect donations, and clean up. RCU will be providing lunch!
Here's what you need to know:
- We ask that volunteers arrive at 8:30am and stay until 1pm. Lunch will be served between 12:30-1pm as we clean up.
- Please be willing and able to be on your feet the entire time of the event
- Please be able to lift and carry canned food items, ~15-20lbs
- The event will be outdoors in the RCU parking lot, rain or shine!
- please bring a refillable water bottle, wear a safety vest or high visibility clothing, & closed-toed shoes
- Please arrive at your volunteer shift on time and report to the Site Coordinator. Staff will go over safety and assign duties at the beginning of the shift.
- This is a drive-thru distribution, so be prepared to unload food from cars and put it in your designated barrel, and take monetary donations!
