Redwood Credit Union is hosting a Shred-a-Thon event on Saturday, July 25, 8:30-12pm, to help people dispose of confidential paperwork and personal data. Documents will be securely shredded and recycled, and Conservation Corps North Bay will collect e-waste onsite.
The Redwood Empire Food Bank will be collecting canned food items and monetary donations. We are in need of 2 volunteers to help us set up our table, collect donations, and clean up.
Here's what you need to know:
We ask that volunteers arrive at 8:15am and stay until 12pm.
Please be willing and able to be on your feet the entire time of the event
Please be able to lift and carry canned food items, ~15-20lbs
The event will be outdoors in the RCU parking lot, rain or shine!
please bring a refillable water bottle, wear a safety vest or high visibility clothing, & closed-toed shoes
Please arrive at your volunteer shift on time and report to Redwood Empire Food Bank staff, Nick. He will go over safety and assign duties at the beginning of the shift.
This is a drive-thru event, so be prepared to unload food from cars and put it in your designated barrel, and take monetary donations!
