Join the Fight Against Hunger with the Redwood Empire Food Bank!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Volunteers like you play a crucial role in helping us collect food and funds to support our neighbors in need.
Why Get Involved?
Organizing a Food & Funds Drive is a meaningful way to make an impact, whether you have a few hours or an entire afternoon. This opportunity is flexible, can be done when convenient for you, and does not require registration. You can choose the activities that best fit your schedule while still making a powerful impact.
By rallying your friends, family, or coworkers, you can provide direct support to neighbors in need, build stronger community connections, and even collect volunteer hours
Ready to Turn Compassion into Action?
Here are some impactful ways you can help:
1. Host a Food Collection Bin
Place a bin at your school, workplace, or community space, spread the word, and bring the filled bin to the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
2. Host a Virtual Food Drive
Create a fundraising page, set a goal, and share your link with friends, family, and colleagues to gather support.
3. Ding-Dong Donate
Canvass your neighborhood to collect donations and support our neighbors facing hunger. Easiest to flyer your neighborhood one weekend and collect the food the following weekend! Drop off the food at the Redwood Empire Food Bank when convenient for you.
4. Host a Donation Station
Encourage your network to contribute non-perishable food and funds by setting up a drop-off area or creating a drive-through option for easy donations. Involves some preplanning work, but can easily be done in a weekend!
