How To Set Up Your Volunteer Profile
Step 1- Login
To access your volunteer profile, go tohttps://volunteer.refb.org. At the top of this page on the black bar, click Login or Sign Up, depending on if you are a new or returning volunteer.
Returning Volunteers: Click Login at the top of the page. Continue to sign in using your email and password. If you have trouble logging in, please email volunteers@refb.org to reset your password.
Distribution Site volunteers will also be required to sign the Civil Rights Training document on the 1st of each new year.
Minors under the age of 13 will be required to sign the COPPA Act agreement.
New Volunteers: Click Sign up at the top of the page. You will be prompted to create a new profile before registering for any volunteer shifts with the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
No email? No problem: If you are signing up yourself or someone without an email, you can bypass this by creating a fake email using that volunteer's full name or phone number @example.com - for example, mickeymouse@example.com or 7075237905@example.com. Create a password and follow the next steps to have full access to the site for continued use. This is extremely helpful to us for reporting attendance and tracking your volunteer hours!
Step 2- Navigating your Profile & Hour Tracking
Edit Profile: In your account, click your initials (or your picture) in the black bar at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click Edit Profile. In this section, you can reset your password and update any of your contact information.
Optional- Mobile Texting: If you would like to receive text messages from the Redwood Empire Food Bank, please opt-in by entering your mobile phone number and then clicking Get Mobile Code. A validation code will be sent to your phone number, please enter that code in the field Mobile Code in your profile.
Dashboard: In the menu on the left side of your profile, click Dashboard. On this page, you can view a quick snapshot of the total hours that you have volunteered, your impact value in the community, and the number of shifts you are registered for.
Volunteer Schedule: Click your initials (or your picture) in the black bar at the top of the page. In the drop-down menu, click Volunteer Schedule. On this page, you will see a calendar view of your past and upcoming volunteer shifts.
Verify Your Hours: In your Dashboard, click the timer icon. In Track Hours, you will see all of the hours that you have volunteered for in the past. For some, you will see your historical bulk hours transferred from our previous volunteer portal. Click here to Verify Hours. Note: All hours are approved by staff. Hours added by the user will be denied. If hours do not reflect correctly or you have questions, please email volunteers@refb.org or call (707)523-7905.
Completing the Civil Rights Training: In compliance with the California Department of Social Services, all Distribution Site volunteers at Redwood Empire Food Bank must complete the annual Civil Rights training. This training ensures fairness and equity in our operations. This 4-page training document requires your initials, signature, and date. You must be signed in to your volunteer profile before clicking this link to complete the Civil Rights training:volunteer.refb.org/user/qualifications/
