This opportunity is a special event resource fair for migrant farmworkers and their families and is a walk-up food distribution. This opportunity has two 2 hour shifts: 12:30-2:30pm & 2:30-4:30pm. (If you would like to volunteer for both shifts, please register for both.)
Volunteers will be handing out food to walking participants. Typically participants bring their own rolling carts or bags. There are various jobs available that fit everyone’s needs; from flagging cars to passing out apples.
Please keep in mind:
- You will have to stand for a long period of time but are able to take a break whenever you need one. If you need accommodations, please let the coordinator know.
- We’d love to have volunteers that can commit to reoccurring sites but it is not required.
- You do not need to be bilingual but if you are that is awesome!
- Our main goal is to feed the community and make sure you have a great time volunteering.
