Volunteer: Kitchen Dishwasher

As a Kitchen Dishwasher Volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining a clean environment in our Kitchen Collective and work closely with Chef Don Nolan as he and his team create snacks that can be consumed on-the-spot for those picking up groceries at our distribution sites. 

Volunteer Shift Registration


All volunteers must register individually before their shift and t be at least 15 years old

To be fully prepared, we require all volunteers to review our Volunteer Handbook, which covers key details, policies, and FAQs.

We value respect, fairness, and kindness—negative remarks or harassment will not be tolerated.

Health & Safety – If you are sick or have been exposed to illness, please do not volunteer

Before You Arrive & What to Expect


Wearing sturdy, closed-toed shoes is required. We also recommend bringing a water bottle.

Volunteers must be able to stand the entire time

Volunteers must read labels carefully, follow safety guidelines, and work independently.

You do not need a Food Handler's Certificate to volunteer for this opportunity. If you are interested in attending a Kitchen Collective volunteer shift, email your Food Handler's Certificate to Liz Berry at lberry@refb.org.

Our Distribution Center is located at 3990 Brickway Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.

Parking is available in our lot as well as in the neighboring ThermalSun lot. Please enter the parking areas slowly and with caution.

Upon arrival, please check in at the kiosk in our lobby and proceed to the Kitchen Collective to check in with Chef Don Nolan. We look forward to seeing you!
